Joseph D. Solis is the founder of Sol Hospitality Group, a boutique hospitality company based in NYC. In addition to being a Hospitality expert and trained chef, Joseph D. Solis is also a liquid chef and brings a similar approach to Mixology where the ultimate goal is a balanced and complex palate pleaser.
A seasoned veteran in the Wine & Spirits industry with over a decade of experience working on the worlds finest Spirits brands, Joseph D. Solis followed his passion and swapped his marketing and events career for the cocktail shaker.
Joseph D. Solis respects the roots of classic cocktails while interpreting new approaches to modern Mixology. Joseph takes a global approach to cocktails and uses the world pantry for inspiration. Joseph believes in using only the finest & freshest ingredients and advocates using artisan or handmade products.
As a lead Mixologist for Hennessy, Joseph has created cocktail programs for exclusive events and galas including the Latin Grammys, NBA All Star Weekend, BET Awards, Essence Music Festival, Grammys, Coachella and MTV VMAs as well as high profile movie premiers, Fashion Week events and entertainment launch parties. Joseph has also had the pleasure of creating signature cocktails for the likes of Jay Z, Russell Simmons, Swizz Beats, LeBron James, Nas and The Roots . In addition, Josephs private clients include celebrities, socialites, and bars & lounges throughout the US.
As an industry expert, Joseph conducts tastings, trainings and education programs that teach industry and cocktail enthusiasts Wine & Spirits 101 through the Ins-and-Outs of the Bar & Mixology world. Joseph is currently writing a Cocktail and Hospitality article for Uptown Magazine which focuses on empowering the Urban Gentleman through hospitality.
Currently Joseph D. Solis has a hospitality book as well as a food & cocktail show in development with the goal of creating his own global hospitality empire… leaving his stamp on the world one sip at a time.
